If you are building their own telescope and do not have time, equipment or other materials necessary to perform optical- please write what you need. I can probably do them in my studio no matter which stage the mirror is, ie.. only grind for a given focal length to the powder No. 800, polish to a sphere, possibly parabolize and coat.

If you need to apply a new layer of Al- I can help as well. I cooperate with a company where the mirror up to about 300 mm can be securly coated with Al SiO 2 or SiO 2 and TiO 2, in a vacuum apparatus of the latest generation. The efficiency of this layer is above 90%. Larger mirrors can be coated with MgF2 protection.

PRICES.

In majority of cases the prices need to be agreed individually, due to the varying degree of difficulty to make a mirror.. Below you will find some rough prices of selected services:

Mirror with a diameter of 300mm and aperture up to 5 costs about 2100PLN. This is the price of finished, coated mirror.

Coating of the mirror with a diameter up to 300mm – about 230PLN. I know, it is possible to coat the mirror cheaper, but certainly not in this quality. When doing it with me you get a layer of aluminum coated using electron gun, assisted with the ionic gun. Uniformity of coverage is 1-2 NANOMETERS! The protective layer is quartz or quartz and titanium oxide. Protective layer has a definite thickness, thanks to the measurement using an optical and a quartz sensor . Only with strict control of the protective layer's thickness you achieve the maximum reflection, above 92% . The whole process is made in the latest generation apparatus. You will not need to use black pads, not to frighten the client with a layer that looks like a colander.
